How about these oaks?

The crows love the old oaks on the Pomerene Center for the Arts lawn...which would be all well and good if it weren't for the mess they leave behind. Not appropriate.
Our understanding is that trimming our old trees back 30% would not only be healthy for the trees but also would make them less attractive as night roosts for the crows. Ditto the court square where the trees are in a similar condition, but those trees are outside our purview.
Energized by the city's 2010/2011 America in Bloom initiative, there has been talk about Coshocton becoming a Tree City USA. My point is that there is momentum to concentrate on our trees inside the city limits. Putting together the negative motivation provided by the crows and the positive initiatives of America in Bloom and Tree City USA, we find ourselves at an ideal time to promote tree care in the community by being good stewards of the grand old trees on the Pomerene lawn.
